Harrogate Model Flying Club membership is open to anyone interested in flying or learning to fly radio controlled model aircraft.
Our only condition is that you have to be a fully paid up member of the BMFA to fly at any of our club flying sites, BMFA membership can be purchased at the same time as you join the club as we are BMFA affiliated.
As a member of the club you will have access to all our club flying sites as well as the many other benefits that membership brings. We have regular club meetings once a month where you can learn about model aviation, over the summer months these meetings are held at our Goldsborough Flying site.
If you’re a novice we have members who are willing to train you so that you can enjoy this great hobby, we also have club examiners so you can progress and get your BMFA Certificates.

As of 2017 we have a club model so if you think that model flying might be for you and would like to have a go before you invest in radio and aircraft and all that goes with it why not request a demo flight.
BMFA Membership
The Harrogate Model Flying Club is affiliated to the BMFA and as such all members are required to be members of the BMFA also, this can be as a country member where membership has been purchased before joining the club or as an affiliate member through our membership secretary when you join the club, there is no difference in price and its totally up to the individual.
When you join the BMFA you are taking part in the development of model flying in the United Kingdom.
You become part of the National Governing Body dedicated to the promotion and protection of the sport of model flying at all levels.
